Using Ajax for live page updates? Please. Your grandma called, she wants her technology back.
Socket.IO lets you do real-time bi-directional client-server hyphen-loaded communication in the browser and is super easy to use.
I did a lightning talk about it last week at Iowa Code Camp but if you missed it or want to hear about it for more than 5 minutes, please come on by on 5/17 at the Cramer Dev offices.
As always, snacks will be provided, BYOB, all are welcome.
April: Math and Statistics for fun!
April 12th, 2012 |

- Thursday, April 19, 2012, 8:00 PM
- Venue
- Cramer Development Incorporated
Special guest and Student Innovation of the Year award co-winner Fred Galoso will be talking about gauss, a really cool project for using JavaScript on your math.
As Zed, said “Programmers need to learn statistics or I will be very disappointed in them” (paraphrased)
If we start off talking about statistics, there’s no limit to how nerdy this could get, so come on over!
